My Background

Experience built through training and practice

I graduated from the University of Windsor in 1986 with a degree in Criminology. In 2012, I graduated from the Backster School of Lie Detection in Kingston, Ontario. I also completed the Backster Advanced Polygraph Training Course in 2014 and am a Certified Polygraph Examiner through Backster, having completed the required practical requirements under guidance.

Since 2014, I have provided polygraph consulting services and have conducted more than 500 polygraph examinations. My work has included employment-related examinations and personal matters involving a wide variety of cases.

I also operated a Private Investigator business from 2013 through 2020, providing additional experience in investigative work and dealing with sensitive information. I complete regular continuing polygraph training every 1–2 years to maintain and build my professional knowledge and skills.

Formal training through the Backster School

My formal polygraph education includes graduation from the Backster School of Lie Detection in Kingston, Ontario, in 2012, followed by completion of the Backster Advanced Polygraph Training Course in 2014. I am also a Certified Polygraph Examiner through Backster, having completed the required practical requirements under guidance. I continue to complete professional training regularly, generally every 1–2 years.

Backster's place in polygraph education

The Backster School of Lie Detection has a long history in professional polygraph education. Publications of the American Polygraph Association have listed the Backster School as an APA-accredited program, and it has been accredited by the APA since 1966.
